Disability Sport Northern Ireland will be running a 1 day snooker session to encourage people with disabilities to participate within the sport in the 147 club in Antrim. The session is on 7 September from 11am-1pm at 32 Fountain Street, BT41 4BB. The address is wrong it’s (36 Fountain Street, BT41 4BB), I do apologise if this caused any confusion it was my fault, Google showed it as the previous address. I have highlighted the correct address. This session is the first of its kind for people with disabilities in Northern Ireland, ranging from ages 10+, it is a great way to try the snooker facilities in the club and meet new people. The session is open to people who have a psychical disability, visually impaired or blind.
I am visually impaired myself and I know that it might be difficult for people to play this beautiful sport but I believe in giving everyone with a disability a chance to learn how to play the sport or participate within the sport. I’m sure the sport can be adapted to suit the individuals needs, if blind football, golf and archery can be adapted the snooker can too.
If you are interested please contact Odhran Doherty firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or phone Disability Sport NI on 02890 469925 . There is a limited number of spaces available, please don’t let this great opportunity pass you by….. Get your entries in as soon as possible to secure your place. Thank you
